Vandals damage men’s restroom in Bradenton

On January 10, a significant incident was recorded by surveillance cameras at Rossi Park, located along Bradenton’s Riverwalk.

Law enforcement officers were called to the scene after a bystander reported hearing “shattering” sounds coming from the men’s restroom. Witnesses observed that four juveniles exited the bathroom swiftly and departed the area on bicycles.

According to investigators, the restroom security cameras revealed extensive vandalism, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage, affecting porcelain sinks, toilets, and urinals.

Captain Brian Thiers of the Bradenton Police Department remarked, “We think it was a crime of opportunity; they were out and about and simply came here.”

In the aftermath, investigators received numerous tips from local schools, which ultimately led to the arrests of the involved individuals.

All four teenagers are currently facing third-degree felony charges.
