Two Tervis veterans have purchased the last remaining retail store for the drinkware brand, located in Osprey.

Hosana Fieber, former CEO of Tervis until its recent acquisition, and Rogan Donnelly, a minority owner and descendant of the founders, acquired the standalone store at 928 S. Tamiami Trail. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed.

The purchase coincided with an investor group, JV2 Innovative Products, now Tervis LLC, acquiring the parent company.

The Osprey store offers tumblers, mugs, water bottles, accessories, and the new TervisHome melamine line. This location is significant as it is the only retail store still accepting warranty returns for Tervis products.

Fieber and Donnelly also obtained the equipment at the store for on-the-spot customization of tumblers and water bottles. Initially, the location was a manufacturing plant in the 1960s before becoming the flagship retail store circa 2005.

“Keeping this original store open for the community is something we are incredibly passionate about,” Fieber stated on August 26. Having worked at Tervis since 2009 and served in various roles, she became CEO in 2023.

Before the sale, Donnelly, a third-generation owner, was CEO from 2016 to 2023 and then became the chairman of the board.

“I am incredibly grateful to share ownership of our flagship retail location with Hosana,” Donnelly expressed. “This is also where my childhood handprint was preserved in concrete.”

In the wake of intensified competition and legal challenges, Tervis filed for bankruptcy in September 2024 and closed all its retail stores except for the Osprey location, which remained operational.

Having exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February, with debts restructured and legal issues resolved, the other stores have yet to reopen.

Through the bankruptcy and company sale, the Osprey shop stood as the sole remaining retail store and served as Tervis headquarters after the company vacated its Venice location.

Following the acquisition, Tervis plans to relocate its headquarters to Bradenton, as previously reported by the Business Observer.
