MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. –
A tragic accident has claimed the lives of two teens and left two others hospitalized after a Dodge Charger driver lost control and slammed into several trees, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to troopers, the four teens were speeding south on Silverleaf Ave. when the crash occurred.
First responders pronounced the driver and a passenger—both 19 years old—dead at the scene. A 17-year-old male from Parrish is reported to be in critical condition, while a 16-year-old female passenger from New York is in serious condition; she was the only individual in the vehicle wearing a seatbelt.
