SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has revealed the identities of two individuals found deceased behind a Sarasota discount store.
On Tuesday morning, SCSO reported that Mandy Coxwell, 34, and Cameron Marsh, 33, were discovered beneath a semi-truck in the loading area of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Cattleman Road.
Authorities have confirmed that Coxwell sustained a gunshot wound to the head, while Marsh inflicted fatal injuries on himself under the chin and neck. This tragic incident has been classified as a murder-suicide.
According to SCSO, both victims were familiar to local businesses, often seen panhandling and seeking refuge beneath trailers at night.
The investigation is still ongoing.
“You know, it might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary.
Maybe we should just do away with homeowner associations as a whole.”
State Representative Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) has expressed that the time may have come to reevaluate the role of homeowner associations (HOAs). With growing concerns from Florida residents regarding escalating fees, legal disputes, and arrests linked to HOA conflicts, Porras is contemplating drafting legislation to abolish HOAs statewide in the upcoming session.
