In a significant development for the Tervis brand, two long-time employees have bought the last operating retail store located in Osprey.
Hosana Fieber, who served as CEO of Tervis until the company’s acquisition earlier this month, alongside Rogan Donnelly, a minority owner and descendant of the brand’s founders, has officially taken ownership of the store at 928 S. Tamiami Trail. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
Fieber and Donnelly acquired the store concurrent with the investor group JV2 Innovative Products, now functioning as Tervis LLC, which purchased the broader Tervis business.
The Osprey location offers a variety of Tervis products, including tumblers, mugs, water bottles, and accessories, as well as items from the new TervisHome melamine line. This unique store is designated as the only retail outlet accepting warranty returns for Tervis items.
Additionally, Fieber and Donnelly procured equipment that allows customers to customize tumblers and water bottles on-site. Historically, this location served as the company’s manufacturing plant during the 1960s before it transitioned into its flagship retail store around 2005.

“Keeping this original store open for the community is something we are deeply passionate about,” stated Fieber in an August 26 announcement. Fieber has been with Tervis since 2009, progressing through various roles including COO and CFO, before taking over as CEO in 2023.
Before the acquisition, Donnelly was a third-generation owner and served as CEO from 2016 to 2023, later becoming chairman of the board.
“I am incredibly grateful to share ownership of our flagship retail location with Hosana,” expressed Donnelly, recollecting his childhood memories tied to the store.
Despite challenges such as rising competition and ongoing legal issues, Tervis declared bankruptcy in September 2024, leading to the closure of all retail shops except for the Osprey store. Previously, Tervis had locations in multiple cities including Ellenton, Key West, and Myrtle Beach.
Since Tervis successfully exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February, with their debts restructured and litigation settled, the remaining stores have yet to reopen.
Throughout the bankruptcy and sale process, the Osprey store stood as the only operational location and also functioned as Tervis’s headquarters after the company vacated its facility in Venice.
With new owners at the helm, there are plans for Tervis to relocate its headquarters to Bradenton, as previously reported by the Business Observer.
