The investigation was initiated after a 12-year-old girl reported that Briones-Vega had been molesting her for a span of three years, starting with inappropriate touching when she was just 10 years old and escalating to sexual intercourse when she turned 11.

According to the affidavit, the girl’s father confronted Briones-Vega, who admitted to having sexual relations with the girl during the confrontation.
