Suspect apprehended in fatal Sarasota shooting linked to altercation

SARASOTA, Fla. – A suspect was apprehended early Sunday morning following a deadly shooting that originated from a brawl on North Washington Boulevard in Sarasota.

The Sarasota Police Department reported that the suspect has been charged with two offenses. At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, the incident occurred in the 1100 block of North Washington Boulevard.

According to investigators, multiple groups were involved in an altercation outside when Enamorado drew a firearm and began shooting. Witnesses intervened and managed to detain him until law enforcement arrived.

Tragically, one woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while another man sustained injuries and was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Police indicate that there is no known connection between the suspect and the victims.
