UPDATE 11:39 A.M. BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – During a media briefing on Tuesday, the Manatee County Sheriff unveiled surveillance footage and cellphone data related to Pelletier’s activities prior to his death.

Surveillance footage from the Florida Department of Transportation, recorded at 2:19 a.m. on August 1 near I-75 mile marker 75 and Exit 217 of SR 70, shows an individual believed to be Giovanni Pelletier crossing I-75, maneuvering over a barrier, and running toward a pond where his body was later discovered, according to detectives.
Data from his cellphone suggests that family members traveling with him had already moved north of that location at that time, as stated by the sheriff.
