LONGBOAT KEY, Fla. (WFLA)— An elderly woman died after a reported drowning in Longboat Key Thursday evening.
The Longboat Key Police Department was dispatched to a reported drowning at 220 Sand Point Road around 5:46 p.m.
Upon arrival, responders discovered CPR was in progress on the elderly woman. Unfortunately, paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Authorities are currently treating this situation as a death investigation and are proceeding with further inquiries.
