SARASOTA, Fla. – A registered sex offender was apprehended for attempting to entice a 13-year-old girl into his vehicle on Sunday, as reported by the Sarasota Police Department.
The incident, captured on video by the girl, allowed her to escape and later identify Mark McGoldrick, 69, from a photo lineup.
During the investigation, the girl revealed that McGoldrick often approached her while she waited alone at the bus stop throughout the school year.
Authorities arrested McGoldrick at his residence on Sunday, and he was subsequently taken to the Sarasota County Jail.
