Sarasota Fatalities Linked to Cattlemen Road Business Declared a Murder-Suicide

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reports that Cameron Marsh, 33, and Mandy Coxwell, 34, both residents of Sarasota, were discovered at approximately 6:30 a.m. under a semi-truck trailer situated in the loading bay of a local store. Nearby, investigators found three bullet casings and a handgun.

The medical examiner has determined that Coxwell succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, while Marsh subsequently took his own life by shooting himself under the chin.

Local neighbors and workers recognized the pair, noting that they frequently panhandled and would sometimes take shelter in the loading bay during the night.

Currently, the investigation remains active, and the sheriff’s office has assured the public that this incident appears to be isolated.
