SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a tragic drowning incident that took place in Sarasota on Saturday morning.
Authorities were alerted at 9:53 a.m. regarding a drowning occurring in the 9000 block of Blind Pass Road. Upon arrival, deputies collaborated with the Sarasota County Fire Department, which was providing emergency assistance to a man. Unfortunately, despite the lifesaving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene, as confirmed by an official release.
The Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Section is engaging in an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
