BRADENTON, Fla. –
A pair of thieves were caught on Ring doorbell footage after stealing several packages from a
Bradenton neighborhood.
One suspect was identified due to a distinctive clue visible in the video.
The incident occurred on Sand Gables Trail in Bradenton’s Glen Creek Community.
“It’s amazing how people take advantage of those families,” said David Hamon, a resident.

Hamon, living in the area for a year, condemned the thieves’ actions.
“Probably gifts for their kids or family members, so that’s very disappointing to see this happening in the neighborhood,” he said.
After reviewing footage from two homes, police identified one suspect wearing an ankle monitor.
This led them to associate the monitor with a 14-year-old girl who was present during the crime.
Both suspects are juveniles, and charges have been filed.

“It’s disturbing to know someone has not learned from previous mistakes and continues committing crimes,” said Meredith Censullo of the BPD.
However, under a new law, those caught stealing items worth over $40 can now face a third-degree felony.
“We need people to understand that this isn’t funny,” Censullo remarked. “This is a serious crime. A felony on your record will carry throughout your entire life.”
