Obituary: Karl Emil Fraedrich
Karl Emil Fraedrich, aged 85, of Venice, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, and graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1957. He further pursued his education, earning a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. For more than three decades, Karl dedicated his career to teaching at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he also served as the Accounting Department Chair and Associate Dean for the College of Business and Economics.
In his retirement, Karl found joy in activities such as traveling, golfing, and cherishing moments with his family. He is survived by his sons, Timothy and Bryan (Tracy), along with his grandchildren, Madison, Justin, Trista, and Jackson. He is also survived by his former spouse, Linda Meyer, his companion, Judith Linwood, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service honoring his life was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wausau on Saturday, November 15. Memorial contributions can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice. For further information, please visit obituaries.nationalcremation.com.
