BRADENTON, FL — Good Times Arcade, located at 105 Cortez Road West in Bradenton, has been shut down by detectives as part of a continuing investigation into illegal gambling operations within Manatee County.
Following a tip-off and two undercover visits that confirmed the presence of electronic slot and gaming machines, Special Investigations detectives executed a search warrant at Good Times Arcade, according to a release from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, the detectives immediately closed the business and confiscated both equipment and cash.
During the operation, investigators seized a total of 55 full-size arcade-style video slot machines and 27 computers, along with additional electronic equipment used for illegal gaming activities. The total amount of illegal proceeds seized exceeded $160,000, the sheriff’s office reported.
No arrests were made of customers or employees present at the arcade during the raid; however, the business owner is currently under investigation, and charges are pending. Detectives had previously warned Good Times’ management by issuing a cease-and-desist letter before the raid was conducted, according to the sheriff’s office.
