SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota Police Department (SPD) reported the detention of three individuals following a shooting incident. One adult male victim has sustained injuries and is currently hospitalized.
The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Watts Way shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday. The victim, identified as a male driver, was discovered near the intersection of First Street and Central Avenue and was subsequently transported to a local hospital.
SPD confirmed that the three detained individuals are undergoing interviews as part of the ongoing investigation. In light of the incident, drivers are advised to avoid Central Avenue until further notice.
