Living in Southwest Florida offers the delightful chance to enjoy warm weather year-round, making boating a favorite pastime for many due to easy accessibility to lakes, rivers, and beaches.
The recent expansion of Galahad Marine Services now provides local boaters with another excellent option for selecting their perfect watercraft.
After over a decade of success in Maryland, Galahad Marine is establishing its first Florida dealership in Cape Coral. While the corporate headquarters will be based in Cape Coral, the company aims to serve a region extending from Sarasota to Collier County.
As an authorized dealer of popular brands like Crownline, Bayliner, Trophy Series, and Starcraft, Galahad Marine offers a versatile array of fishing and recreational boats. Marketing Director Jessica Ginarte emphasized that Cape Coral’s easy access to water was pivotal in choosing this location for their corporate headquarters.
“Cape Coral is one of the best areas for boating and the boating industry,” Ginarte said. “We will operate a full dealership featuring both our showroom and service area along with our corporate headquarters.”
Dominic Nicosia, the CEO of Galahad Marine, has lived in Cape Coral for 20 years and initially ventured into the recreation sector by entering marina real estate in 2013. This path led to various real estate transactions on the East Coast. However, in 2020, he and his partners opted to divest from that business to focus on boat sales.
“We discovered we were far more adept at boat sales and service than marina management,” Nicosia explained.
After concentrating on markets in Maryland and Virginia, Nicosia’s opportunity to partner with leading boat brands prompted the expansion to Cape Coral.
“When the chance to work with Bayliner and Trophy emerged last fall, we seized it. We’ve since added two more brands, Crownline and Starcraft Pontoon, and are in talks with two others,” Nicosia noted. “This will allow our customers to find the boat that perfectly suits their needs.”
In January, Nicosia acquired a site on Del Prado Boulevard, planning a state-of-the-art sales and service facility.
“We’ll be constructing a 4,000-square-foot sales center and a 6,000-square-foot service center,” Nicosia stated, with hopes to complete this by next summer.
This expansion will also create job opportunities in Cape Coral. Currently, Nicosia is looking to hire additional sales and service technicians to enhance the existing team of five.
Long-time Cape Coral resident Chris Whited serves as the senior salesman for Galahad and brings 25 years of boat sales experience to the table. He assures customers they can expect to experience what he calls the Galahad Difference when shopping for their boating adventures.
“The Galahad Difference means customers will have the most positive experience possible when purchasing their boat,” Whiting explained. “From sales to service, it truly signifies something unique.”
Galahad Marine Sales is located at 410 Del Prado Blvd N., approximately a quarter of a mile south of Pine Island Road.
