Driver Opens Fire in Road Rage Incident on I-75, Leaving Truck’s Windows Broken, According to FHP

SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A road rage incident escalated to shooting on I-75 this past Friday, leaving one individual injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The situation arose on the southbound lanes of I-75, near Clark Road, involving two vehicles: a white Jeep SUV and a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Authorities stated that the driver of the Jeep was believed to have fired at least one shot targeting the driver’s side window of the Dodge Ram.

As a result, both the driver and passenger side windows of the Dodge were shattered. The driver sustained minor injuries and received treatment from EMS at the scene.

Following the incident, the driver of the Jeep reportedly fled the scene onto Clark Road.

Investigations continued into the evening, but no additional details were available immediately.
