The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reported that detectives from the Special Investigation Section conducted an operation leading to the acquisition of a significant quantity of cocaine from 45-year-old Andres R. Gonzalez.

Following this, deputies secured search warrants for residences located on 60th Drive East in Bradenton and Lake Ridge Drive in Sarasota.

At the Sarasota site, detectives uncovered 299.5 grams of cocaine.

Gonzalez was present at the Bradenton property during the search operation and was subsequently arrested on charges of cocaine trafficking. He was taken to the Manatee County jail, according to deputies.
The Sheriff’s Office praised the collective effort behind the operation, stating, “This was truly a collaborative effort and an outstanding job by all involved.”
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather information.
