Cavaliers to Conduct Training Camp at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially announced their 2025 Training Camp presented by Cleveland Clinic will take place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, from September 30 to October 5, 2025. This six-day event kicks off the Cavaliers’ preparations for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.

“Returning to IMG Academy highlights the incredible experience we had there last year,” stated Koby Altman, Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations. “The engagement within the Bradenton community and at the facility itself was invaluable for our preseason preparations. The Gulf Coast of Florida provided an ideal environment for our team to focus and recharge, which is hard to replicate in Cleveland. We’re excited for another fantastic training camp at IMG Academy and the vibrant cultural experiences Sarasota has to offer.”

Last year, the Cavaliers were the first NBA team to hold their training camp at IMG Academy, founded on a reputation as the world’s premier sports education institution. The 600-acre campus is known for its state-of-the-art facilities, which include multiple basketball courts and comprehensive training resources. IMG Academy provides a holistic education model that combines innovative on-campus and online experiences to prepare student-athletes for both college and life. Before their training at IMG Academy in 2024, the Cavaliers last held a remote camp back in the 2004-05 season at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.

The Cavaliers’ daily training camp schedule and media availability will be released as the camp date approaches. Leading up to the trip to Florida, the Cavaliers will host Media Day on Monday, September 29, at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, OH, with further details forthcoming. The team’s four-game preseason schedule begins with a home game at Rocket Arena against Chicago on October 7, followed by road games at Chicago on October 9 and Boston on October 12, and concluding with a home game against Detroit on October 14.
