This week, law enforcement agencies, including the Bradenton Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team, SWAT, Homeland Security, and the ATF, executed an arrest connected to a significant drug trafficking investigation.
During a search warrant execution at the residence of the suspected trafficker, Olvin Gutierrez Ponce, authorities seized three firearms, one of which was reported stolen.

Olvin Gutierrez Ponce has been arrested and faces charges that include:
Possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a house of worship.
Bradenton Police confirmed that Ponce’s arrest contributed to a growing total of firearms confiscated by the Crime Reduction Team. This year alone, the CRT has removed 34 firearms from the streets, bringing the cumulative total to 87 since its formation in mid-2024.
