BRADENTON, Fla. – A man was arrested after being recorded on camera beating a 9-week-old puppy, as reported by the Bradenton Police Department.
Christian Cuello, 30, now faces a charge of animal cruelty, which has resulted in his return to jail. Authorities noted that he was already on probation for a different offense when the incident occurred.

What we know:
Concerned employees at the Kava Social Club in Bradenton alerted officers who were patrolling the area. Witnesses reported seeing Cuello grab the puppy by the neck and strike the dog in the face before leaving the establishment.
According to BPD, club employees reviewed security footage and provided multiple videos to the police showing Cuello’s abuse of the puppy.

An officer recognized the puppy and contacted its owner, who revealed that she had entrusted Cuello with its care. Following Cuello’s arrest, the puppy was taken to a veterinary hospital for a thorough examination.
