Venice and Sarasota Residents Can Collect Complimentary Sandbags on September 14

The station will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 252 Seaboard Ave. Residents are eligible to receive complimentary sand and empty bags, limited to 10 sandbags per vehicle.

In addition to the main station, Sarasota County will have extra locations open during the same hours:

• South County Fleet, 4571 State Road 776, South Venice
• Ed Smith Stadium, 2700 12th St., Sarasota
• Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota

Residents are required to bring their own shovels and gloves for filling and loading the sandbags. Supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
