BRADENTON, Fla. — A man has been charged with murder in Bradenton following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning, as confirmed by local authorities.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reported the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Jean Addition, was apprehended shortly after the event.
At approximately 2 a.m., deputies arrived at a residence located in the 400 block of 60th Avenue Drive East, where they discovered two men with serious injuries: one man had suffered multiple stab wounds, while the other had a noticeable laceration on his head.
Both individuals were transported to separate hospitals for medical attention. However, tragically, the 40-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries at 7:15 a.m. at Blake Hospital, and authorities are withholding his name until his family is notified.
According to witnesses, the situation escalated from a verbal dispute to violence, with Addition allegedly inflicting multiple stab wounds on the victim. Consequently, detectives charged Addition with murder, leading to his booking at the Manatee County Jail.
The motive behind this violent altercation remains unclear, and the investigation is still ongoing.
