SARASOTA, FL — A man was apprehended following reports of him exposing himself on Lido Beach, according to the Sarasota police news release.

Daniel Mensch, 29, faces multiple charges: specifically, two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a victim under the age of 18, along with four counts of indecent exposure.

The incident came to light when a family at the beach notified the authorities on the evening of August 29 regarding Mensch’s inappropriate actions, as reported by investigators.

A concerned mother informed the police that Mensch was sitting at a nearby picnic table, where he exposed his private parts to her and her two sons, according to the arrest affidavit. Additionally, a girl from the same family recounted to detectives that Mensch briefly exposed himself while she was rinsing off shells at a shower area on the beach.

Officers from the Community Action Team located Mensch during a routine beach patrol on August 30, leading to his arrest without incident. Following this, he was subsequently booked into the Sarasota County Jail but has since been released on bond.
