However, one standout commitment comes from across the country: five-star offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe. This recruit has emerged as a pivotal win for the Trojans in their quest for top-tier talent.

As the Early Signing Period approaches, USC aims to solidify Pepe’s commitment amidst growing interest from the Miami Hurricanes, who are vying to bring him back to California for college football.

Analyst Adam Gorney from Rivals predicts that USC will retain their prized recruit despite Miami’s aggressive outreach. He acknowledges that while Pepe has spent time at IMG Academy in Florida, his roots in Southern California could play a significant role in his decision.

Ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle and the seventh overall player nationally by 247Sports, Pepe’s commitment is significant for USC, especially considering his extensive recruitment that saw him accumulate 35 offers.

Given Miami’s recent success in attracting top talent, including the top offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle, Jackson Cantwell, it comes as no surprise that they’re targeting Pepe.

To enhance their chances, USC will lean on close relationships within the team, particularly with Pepe’s IMG Academy teammate and fellow USC commit, four-star interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay. Additionally, Pepe’s family ties to USC, with his older brother Kobe playing defensive line, will further strengthen his connection to the Trojans.

If USC manages to secure Pepe’s commitment, he would be the highest-rated offensive lineman to join the program under coach Lincoln Riley, surpassing Austin Jackson’s recruitment in 2017.
