Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Seeks Suspect in Bank Robbery Case

SARASOTA, FL — Authorities are on the lookout for a bank robber who struck at a USF Credit Union located in Sarasota on Friday afternoon.

According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, deputies quickly responded to the scene at 3487 Clark Road after receiving reports of the robbery.

At approximately noon, a man described as dark-skinned entered the bank and demanded cash from a teller, as detailed in a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene heading north toward Bronx Avenue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although detectives confirmed that an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the credit union.
