Venice officials plan to touch on a variety of historical milestones in ‘100 Years of Your City on the Gulf’
Venice centennial celebration will span 18 months
The Venice centennial celebration will highlight several landmark moments in the 100-year history of “Your City on the Gulf.”

VENICE – Venice will host a community update meeting to discuss plans for the city’s centennial celebration, at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 5.
The 18-month-long celebration, dubbed “100 Years of Your City on the Gulf,” officially starts with the Venice Holiday Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29.
The big anniversary celebration is planned for July 4, 2026 – with a special morning parade planned to end at the Venice Community Center, culminating in an indoor, air-conditioned picnic in conjunction with Venice MainStreet.
The centennial celebration will close in May 2027 at Centennial Park – cake will be served.
More updates on the events will be shared at the centennial community update meeting.
Participants can also learn about how to get involved with the festivities and incorporate a holiday parade float entry with the 2025 Holiday Parade theme. The meeting will be hosted in Council Chambers at City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave.
