Deputies responded to urgent calls concerning potential domestic violence at a home located in the 8300 block of Ocean Tide Circle just before 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the suspect, 54-year-old Robert Carter, at the front door, covered in blood.
Victim Condition
The victim was located lying on the ground, immersed in a pool of blood. It was revealed that Carter had not only beaten the victim severely but also forced him to swallow handfuls of pills. Following the incident, the suspect was taken into custody, while the victim was immediately transported to a local hospital under a trauma alert.
The injured man, who sustained various injuries including a swollen left eye and significant head trauma, is currently reported to be in stable condition.
