Charlotte County 21-year-old fugitive wanted on multiple out-of-county charges
A Charlotte County fugitive who has been on the run since January is wanted by authorities for felony charges amassed in Sarasota County.

A Charlotte County fugitive, Jacques Gentis, 21, has been evading authorities since January, wanted for multiple felony charges in Sarasota County. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Gentis narrowly escaped capture during a recent attempt by detectives at a residence in Charlotte County and has since gone into hiding.
Fugitive Jacques Gentis is wanted for armed burglary, criminal mischief, grand theft, and firing into a building or dwelling. Additionally, he has bench warrants for failing to appear in court related to earlier felony arrests. Standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, Gentis has connections to both Sarasota and Port Charlotte. Authorities believe he may be concealing himself in less populated areas of Southwest Florida.
Upon his eventual arrest, he will be held without bond.
